The Sonoma Valley Chorale  

Our members come from the Sonoma Valley and the surrounding communities of Napa, Santa Rosa, Petaluma and as far away as Fairfield/Suisun.

The choir members range in ages from 18 to 80 and come from all walks of life, with varied careers and interests.  But we are united by our love of music and our common desire to share that music with our audiences.

In addition to the many concerts performed in Sonoma over the years, the Chorale has toured Europe twice.  A trip to France and Italy in 1995 included concerts in our sister cities.

1998 took us to The United Kingdom, and we toured New England and Canada in October 2001.

The Chorale has been the standard by which community choirs throughout Northern and Central California measure themselves.  Its faithful audiences return again and again because the choir’s enthusiasm and energetic performances always wash over the audiences and make them feel a real part of the performance.

 The Sonoma Valley Chorale Chamber Ensemble

In addition to the large group, Sonoma Valley Chorale, Inc. produces the chamber ensemble.  The 25-voice ensemble performs several concerts each year, including appearances at Buena Vista Winery for their annual summer celebration and various community events.  All of the members of the smaller ensemble are also singing members of the large group. 

The Sonoma Valley Chorale Scholarships 

SVC offers scholarships each year to talented young singers and musicians in high school and continuing college students in the valley who are majoring in music.  Applications for these scholarships may be obtained by email (SVChorale@aol.com) or by calling Linda G, 996-6521 or Sally H, 996-5334.

A new scholarship is also available this year: the Karen Connor Memorial Vocal Scholarship is specifically for vocal students graduating from high school, continuing in college, or vocal students wishing vocal instruction. This application may also be received as listed above.
